Les Garrigues de Truilhas
History and Geography
This property of 39 hectares of perfectly homogeneous vines is at Sallèles d’ Aude.
Along with Domaine de la Motte and Domaine de la Boulandière, Garrigues de Truilhas formed part of the James Herrick vineyards, which were bought from the Australian group Fosters in 2007.
The Vineyard and its Terroir
The Garrigues de Truilhas vineyard has unique soil made up of small stones dating from the end of the quaternary era.
Chardonnay thrives here and is cultivated « Australian style » in cordon de Royat, with a grassed space of 3 metres between the rows.
The vineyard is equipped with an irrigation system, which can also deliver fertilizer if required.
