History and Geography
Bonfils Reserve is a range of wines designed to please a demanding clientele, who are looking for authenticity, a wealth of aromas, and elegance in their wines.
For each grape variety we have identified particular parcels amongst the 1400 hectares of our properties which perfectly harmonise and allow each varietal to fully express all its different facets. This parcel selection is complemented by winemaking techniques adapted to each terroir.
The Vineyard and its Terroir
The Reserve wines are pure varietals, grown on plots stretching from the south of Nimes right up to the north of Perpignan at the limit of the Roussillon.
Whether they are from the sun drenched alluvial soils bordering the sea, the gravel of the left bank of the Herault river or the volcanic basalt on the right bank or the marl clay hillsides north of Beziers, all the grapes that go into the Reserve wines bring the diversity of these different terroirs to the final blend with elegance and generosity.
