Tradition and High Technology Winemaking


In addition to the traditional winemaking cellars of their domains and chateaux, Vignobles Bonfils also possess a state of the art winery at Domaine de la Motte, in Narbonne, purchased in 2007. This winery allows us to propose wines that can ba tailored to meet the requirements of our customers with no volume constraints.


80 000 hectolitres of wine are produced from grapes sourced from the Vignobles Bonfils domains and chateaux and twenty or so rigorously selected contract vine-grower partners in Aude, Herault and the Gard. Currently 90% of the winery’s production is bottled in our bottling facility in Meze and exported.

The Domaine de la Motte winery is one of the best equipped and most efficient production sites in the Languedoc. The wines are closely and rigorously monitored thanks to numerous controls undertaken in the dedicated laboratory. Ultra-sophisticated installations such as thermo-vinification equipment, flotation tanks, a rotary vacuum filter, a fully automated pneumatic cap puncher, and hot and cold pre-fermentation maceration tanks allow the Bonfils oenologists to make and mature wines in optimum conditions.
