VIGNOBLES BONFILS | Languedoc | Capitoul – Lycia 2020 | Vineyard sites near the sea are best equipped to produce these fleshy rosés made more elegant by the sunshine, coupled with Grenache and the sea air. The rosé produced by Vignobles Bonfils in La Clape offers up an array of exotic and red fruit aromas finishing with more of the spice and iodine displayed in the nose bouquet »

Capitoul – Lycia is one of our latest creations and delivers a fresh wine mirroring its provenance

The label is a tribute to the peninsula of La Clape. Its name, ‘Lycia’, stems from the history of the La Clape hill range which was originally an island called Lykia or Lycia by Phoenician navigators, and Insula Laci by the Romans who started growing vines there.

This Languedoc appellation rosé shows at its best between 10 and 12°C, and makes the perfect companion for those relaxed drinking occasions.

Capitoul - Lycia can be savoured from the aperitif onwards and makes a delicious match for a platter of prawns, barbecue-grilled sea bream or beef kebabs, vegetable tagine or alternatively a raspberry cheesecake.
