Medal-winning Vignobles Bonfils wines in Japan

Our wines travel from their native Languedoc to be exported worldwide. One occasion where they were recently tasted is at the 8th Sakura Wine Awards, a major international competition held in Japan – now the largest in Asia – where the panel is 100% female.

Verdict: a gold medal for the 2019 vintage Vaugelas V !

The award offers great exposure across the continent where we have had offices in Shanghai since 2010.

We are delighted to have exported the first Languedoc wines to Cambodia last year and are continuing to trade with Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong. A wide range of our premium wines have been marketed in China for over 10 years and last year we launched our ‘St-Pierre de Serjac’ brand through a partnership with the importer 1919/Swan Wine Group. The aim is to build on this partnership so that St-Pierre de Serjac becomes one of the best known French brands in China.

Lifting the lid on Château Vaugelas’s new logo

After Château Capitoul’s new logo, which we presented to you last month, Château Vaugelas has had its visual identity redesigned.

Lagrasse Abbey’s coat of arms continues to feature but the logo has been given a make-over. The previous curved font has been replaced by modern characters combined with more vintage, hand-made fonts. Intentionally visible alterations give the logo genuine authenticity, and reflect the patina a noble material acquires over time. What better way to soak up the atmosphere of the iconic Château Vaugelas!

Domaine de Cibadiès releases its Vermentino

Domaine de Cibadiès is celebrating some exciting news this spring – already recognised for its proficiency in producing white Pays d’Oc wines, the estate is adding a Vermentino to its portfolio, alongside its older sibling, Chardonnay.

At Vignobles Bonfils, we continue to blaze the trail for Vermentino in Languedoc. The variety delivers distinctive lightness and freshness and ripens later, allowing us to produce dry, fine and aromatic white wines. Their aromas of fresh apple, ripe pear, pineapple and sweet spices lend them hallmark characters that are very popular.

True to its reputation, March marks the blossoming of new things and great exposure for Vignobles Bonfils, which is poised to make the most of spring 2021!
